The work for building the children's home has started. Below are some photos taken. The work started on 10/3/14 and already, the existing building has been torn down, the old foundation has been removed and a new foundation has been installed. Half of the molds for the new RC pillars have been built. They expect to finish in one month.

Below is a video taken during the construction started on 10/3/14. Already, the existing walls and roof has been been torn down and the old foundation have been dug out and a new brick foundation has been laid. The iron reinforcement bars have been installed and the first workers seen in the video are working on the wooden molds for the reinforced concrete pillars. In the back you can see some of the iron bars before they are surrounded by the wood molds. As the video pans to the right, you see more completed wood molds. When all the molds are completed, a slurry of cement and rocks will be poured into the molds for the load-bearing pillars. As the video continues to pan, you see a worker digging and then Esther, children home mom, inspects his work. The ground must be smoothed out so a cement floor will be poured.

The video continues to pan to expose their outdoor kitchen. This is where all their stuff is stored while their new home is being constructed. The mat (in front of sink) is where everyone, except Manang the oldest boy, sleeps. Manang sleeps outside. The video continues to pan till you see part of a door. This is their new outhouse and the video ends with a shot of their old outhouse.
