According the Unicef there are 1.9 million orphaned children living in the Philippines, so this children home is focused on rescuing children from abuse.

First Love rescues a few children (out of the hundreds of thousands) and provides a loving environment to them during their remaining childhood years to heal their wounds and help them become well-adjusted, contributing adult members of society (escaping the cycle of poverty).  Because of this, the operating cost is higher than a normal home. The estimated operating cost for 1 day is $200, so the fundraising project is to seek funding for daily operation. This includes not only providing basic living, but also counseling, security, medical, education, and most importantly loving caregivers.
